This game is rated 18 by the BBFC. The plot concerns an urban riot set in the near future, where an oppressive organisation has declared a State of Emergency. State authorities are clamping down on organized resistance and restricting movement across the City to counter the spread of revolt. Within the game, it’s up to you to smash up everything and everyone in order to destabilize the threat. The cartoony characters may indulge in all kinds of extreme violence, but seen within context this game’s bark is worse than its bite. Bear in mind that this game has the same dark humour as Grand Theft Auto 3, and a tongue in cheek almost punk ethos that you will love or loathe. If you’re not sure whether you’ll be offended, maybe best to avoid -but certainly remember that it’s gameplay that counts, and this game has it. Also bear in mind that it’s also for grown ups. As you wouldn’t show minors the film Fight Club, don’t show them this!
